Samsung A53 & Realme 9 Pro Plus – Performance & Overheat Test
We compared the A53 and Realme 9 Pro Plus. Both phones produced almost the same results during the test.
We tested multiple games such as Subway Surfers, Asphalt 9, Mobile Duty Mobile, Apex Legends, and Genshin Impact. All those games are playable on both devices, with medium to high graphics however extreme and ultra is not available. Therefore, during the test, those games ran smoothly with no lag and delay, except for Samsung A53 on Genshin impact with Medium settings but there is an alternative solution for that. By customizing the settings to the lowest and setting the rendered graphics to medium, the game will run smoother but without eliminating lag completely. While the Realme 9 Pro Plus can render high custom graphics, as expected from Dimensity.

Overall on performance, the Realme 9 Pro Plus is the one that has the capability to play Genshin Impact better. This game has been known as the heaviest or if not, one of the heaviest games out there, even Poco X3 Pro is struggling to play this game smoothly.
Both devices didn’t overheat during the test and even playing Genshin Impact, the temperature was normal for both phones, there was no abnormal thermal throttling. But Samsung A53 turned out cooler maybe because of the 5nm chipset inside.

As for the video recording, I did a 30-minute video recording for both phones and see which one will overheat and terminate the recording first. As a result, the two could reach that long recording or possibly even reach one hour. The video recording was started at 100% battery for both devices to 94% battery at the end of the 30-minute recording. These two devices are good and efficient.
These two chipsets belong to the midrange category, they won’t compete with higher or flagship-level chipsets such as Snapdragon 865 and Dimensity 1100 in terms of performance.
